Whatever kinky positions you guys are in to are your business but leave the innocent ‘Vette out of it.

I’m old and fat so I always pop the seat out if I need to spend any time under the dash. Taking out those four bolts makes it a lot easier, but my car has a back seat so there’s room for me to stretch out.
